Most of the kenneled dogs are partnered 1 male with 1 female, but some, like Karabuşka, are grouped as a family. She shares her space with Şirin and her sister Şustrik. Abandoned as puppies, she and her sister survived Parvo Virus, but there is no sign of their tenuous start in life, they are healthy, active, happy dogs today. During their free hours, they run and play together. Karabuşka won't linger in one place for long, she's always on the go. They have so much fun, that herding them back into their kennel at the end of their free time can become a game -- one runs in and another runs out -- but it's a game Ahmet and Hasan Amca always win. One-to-one with people, Karabuşka is an affectionate dog, eager for individual attention. We are trying to discover the origin of her name. Is it from Turkish with "kara" meaning "black" or is it "коробушка" from Russian folklore and music or a combination of the two? In any language, she's a sweet dog and will thrive with attention from volunteers or an active Foster Family.
